Improving an Otherwise Banal View

Properties in the Hollyburn neighbourhood of West Vancouver have very narrow lots. This creates opportunities for us to design work which allows light light to enter the home while obscuring the neighbours homes on either side.

These windows are located in the clients dining room and over look the neighbours bathroom window. We pay attention to details such as the blue painted siding below the white stucco. Notice how the blue affects the look of the design and how it relates to the water at the bottom of the design.

This dining room window project was one part of a much larger commission to create feature pieces for all the side facing windows and a door.

The clients saw us at the Harmony Arts Festival in West Vancouver and took a leap of faith to commission us to design and create these works of architectural artwork. Through the process of design and installation we have become friends.
